Description
So I haven't been around for a while. This is a fragment of being severely bored while having loads of AP work to do.It's called the Amaterasu, one of the largest and most lethal ships ever built. Inspired by a mix of star wars, FreeSpace, Homeworld (despite never having played the game) and EVE.
Just to prove I'm not dead.

It's main weapons are 15 Assault Beam Cannons (that's a non-canon name for them, just to note they are really big. 300m diameter barrels.) backed up by 12 Long Range Beams, 20 anti-fighter beams topped off with 48 advanced laser cannons and 74 light laser cannons. The ship itself is 7 km long.

Those are the Shivans. Their weapons tend to be more powerful than anything of human origin, and are the (hopefully) only ones mad enough to use them in orbital bombardment. But one has to wonder if they are really mad...
I guess you're right though. It is madness. This is a technological terror that if in the wrong hands could undo several starsystems before destroyed.
