Description Just Some Random Body.
i've been interested for different reasons, that some that know me, are aware of or not.
the way we use our bodies and the way we "let" our bodies be used, let in the way that sometimes it isn't a choice made by ourselves. the way humans use the body, use a body, any body. sure, it's a tool, but doesn't always have to be treated in such grotesque way.

Just Some Random Body: pit.
Just Some Random Body: hers
Just Some Random Body: his

what does this make you feel?

thanks.

I noticed the cuts right before I was gonna click on another picture. I thought they were veins at first. Takes one to know one I guess...not always though.

First thing I noticed were the scars on her arm.
Self-injury?

This is a beautiful image.

It is sexy. It is meant to be sexy. Choice of model and makeup makes that super-obvious, just like the shower scene in PSYCHO. Overthink at your peril.
Great picture.

I love how dark your pictures are.
It gives them a wonderful amount of depth and meaning.

lovely that someone still appreciates this piece even thought it's considered "an older one" already.

Interesting that no one has seen the cuts on your arm. But then again, I'm the one who looks for them.

some have seen. i'm just not sure if they feel like they don't want to see them, or they don't know how to spot them.

i've got experience on getting untied, so i don't think being tied up is too hard.

I really like this shot, in a morbid sense,

*tries to write this without sounding like a freak
I like the pose, it's as if you were layed down upon the floor by someone else, like she's dead, or atleast unconscious.
I think the over exposere's actually a good addition to the piece as it's though she's under a bright light (or in an interpretaional sense, under scrutiny / inspection) as if in a morgue.
The wet plastic also give it another nice/dark twist.
Last but not least, you've framed the shot perfectly, really makes it claustrophobic and thus more effective on a personal level.

All in all, I think it's a great piece,....even if I find it a little uncomfortable.

I find this much more appealing than the previous parts of the series simply because, in the strictest and most basic sense, more meaningful flesh is shown - the exposure of the hands in the stereotypical gesture of surrender - palms upturned, wrists exposed, particularly while bound, coupled with the closed eyes and silenced mouth seems to bare much more meaning - particularly in the context of how we LET out bodies be used, as opposed to how their use can be forced on us.

Excellent and thought provoking.

this is very raw.... it makes you feel almost powerless. i think you did a great job of conveying your feelings about the body being used with this image.

and as for the image itself, i like the rawness, the realness of it, and the blue tint to it all is great. you did a really nice job on this.

If I were being picky I would shout about how her arm is over-exposed slightly. But I'm not technically minded so. I think it's great. Super composition. Looking closer the over-exposed arm fits because I find the shot goes from light to dark - left to right.

Keep up the disturbing work.

i salute you for noticing the going light to dark from left to right, because it does (i tint it a bit on opacity of 35%).

and i will, with pleasure.

about it i like most the plastique look of the face. of corse the forward striving hands are great and adressing, the fingers and the nails of the left are beautyful (i am somewhat harsh when it comes to judge on the look of fingers, so i really really like this hand, whomever it belongs to).
i'm not sure if the white 'fingerprints' in front of the hand are irritating...but they can well be a symbol of marks the body lieaves in its enviroment,
beautyful series m.,

the plastique look on the face is right, because i think half is covered very closely by plastic.

i would have loved to somehow show the marks that the ties leave, but they come too vaguely on photo. unless i photoshop alot, or walk around with the ties on my hands for a whole day, and stop my fingers from getting oxygen.

i'm sorry it took me so long to reply to this, i wrote a reply long long ago, but when i pressed the reply, DA had gone to read-only mode and my reply was lost, of course.

how random is random?

that body is my body. random or not.

but the idea of the randomness refers to how people treat bodies, their own bodies, or other bodies, use them, without really noticing that the body isn't just a body but someone.
