QwQ finally fulfilled my dream of completing a proper No. 6 fanart. Have been doodling it obsessively for the past 2 weeks but didn't do a proper picture until now.Experimenting with pencil lineart and single-layer colouring again. Hexagons are sexy 8D.

Personally I greatly prefer the original novel to the anime, which is rather watered down.

What is it with non-popular shounen manga that always seem to have 1) a dude with pineapple hair 2) a dude with Ichimaru Gin eyes and/or 3) some dude with white hair that may or may not be Allen Walker-style?!
Okay maybe I'm overgeneralisating. Still.

I used a grunge texture that somehow or other was always on my computer. o__o
Yeah lol. and guys with white hair are always uke and always a pair with a guy with black hair. xD

I googled a lineart of a hexagon, copied and pasted it many times until I got the amount I wanted, then filled them with blue in on a different layer.
After that I locked transparent pixels for both layers .
I took a 100 opacity brush to colour the hexagon lineart white and used an airbrush to add gradient to the hexagon colours ^^

it's dark purple according to the novel and manga. Face it the anime just isn't loyal to the original >_>
The halo thing was because I was adjusting Nezumi's hair and didn't lasso the part properly. Or maybe because I went overkill with my overlay layers...
I traced the lineart on tracing paper the original sketch was super messy lol.
