Different evolutions of the pregnant robot character I invented a while ago. We had to work on different evolutions of a character as an exercise at school. So, I chose to go on a concept I had done in 2012 and improve it.
For the little story behind it, I imagined a japanese inventor once became able to create a robot able to carry a baby inside of its belly. He also gave it artificial intelligence, which created a big backlash in the population afterwards, since it was revolutionary. It is later taken care of by higher members of society (hence the pretty dress).
I wanted to question our relations towards robots and procreation with this project. I think it could be an intersting short story to work on, on day.

I like the second and third variant in this picture. IMHO, with a part of the face of the robot, she does not look so beautiful. And, of course, I liked the original version, where she has a human-like head and robotic body, it’s a pity there is no such option.
PS: I am not a biologist, but I am not sure that from a technical point of view it is reasonable to make a transparent belly. Exposure to sunlight on the developing fetus can be harmful (the ultraviolet part of the spectrum, and so on). Although it looks interesting.

I just took advantage of a project in class to work on it again. But for a short story, I think it would be more in some years, as I've got other projects put in priority before it.
I am glad that you appreciate it. Yes, there is something kind of monstruous into something human looking but not human, in a way.
You are right, I had not thought about it. About that problem, she could have a kind of shell to protect the fetus, on top of the transparent belly. It could be put off to check the baby more easily.
