Description Breeding Pic for the Fatima x DLS Carnival [link] from DLS (Dark Lake Stables).
It was fun to draw Carnival! The best part was the transfer of all his beautiful markings. I love this stallion and I am so damn proud that I got the permission to breed with him!

Story
David got a present from a friend from Dubai: The sheikh sent one of his best Arabian mares for a breeding season to Elbdale. David felt honored but didn't have a clue what to do with this mare, he never wanted to breed Arabians. Because he wasn't an expert for Arabians, he began an internet research to find a good Stallion, hopefully the foal would become a good Endurance horse and he could sell it for a high prize. Instead of Endurance Champions, he found a strange looking stallion, his body covered with sharp markings in three different colours: Black, Red and White. David has never seen a horse like this before. He was fascinated and began to read everything he could find about the so-called "Harlequine" Horses in the internet.
Harlequines could appear in every breed due to one or more gene mutations. The mutations cause strange coat colors and mostly an aggressive character. David found out that Harlequines usually are infertile or produce normal horses that don't have these defective genes, but there were two horses that passed their mutations to their offspring: Ghede and Papillon noir.

David tried to find a Harlequine stallion in Arabian type for Fatima, the mare he borrowed from the sheikh and finally found the most beautiful Harlequine stallion: DLS Carnival.
When contacting the owner, he was told that Carnival wasn't up for stud anymore, but he could persuade Carnivals owner to lease him one last time.

We are curious to see the foal and hope that it inherits the Harlequine genes.
