So long story made short, my friend Boris sent me a Mathologer video the other day on Visualising irrationality with triangular squares and said he wanted a root 3 or root 2 fractal... little did he know that all Ammann tilings are products of square roots. This is the result of the root 2 option
((also oops I mistyped the resolution in rendering... bugger))
teundenouden gave me some advice here, using the root 3 example.
