Description Drawn in honor of the American Black and White release, which just so happens to be today.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFfffffffftttttt guys I cannot wait to get this game. I'm HOPING to get it today, we'll see how that little escapade goes.

I'm going to choose Oshawott as my starter. I've had this decided since the first-stage designs were revealed in Japan. Why, you ask? Oshawott was immediately the unpopular one. I'm not trying to be hipster or anything, but I felt really bad for the little fellow. Everyone was making fun of his design, his looks, and since I have way too much sympathy towards a bunch of pixels and game code, I decided he would get love from me.

Then Dewott and Samurott were revealed and everyone went crazy thinking they were the coolest thing ever, especially Dewott. And I laughed. Because I KNEW HE WOULD HAVE EPIC EVOLUTIONS before anyone else. They never believed me. They thought Tepig would get the cool evos. BUT NO. It was Oshawott!
Seriously I do not understand Tepig's line. He starts out adorable, and then it's like BAM, fatso. And yet another fire/fighting starter. THREE GENERATIONS NOW WE'VE HAD FIRE/FIGHTING STARTERS. Why is thissss?

I think I'll name mine...Freckles.

Oshawott was my first choice and named him Swiftshell. From the beginning, I thought it was the cutest out of all the beginners and when it's next evolutions were revealed I thought they were the coolest.

I do like Snivy and Tepig, but I'm not all that fond of their evolutions.

I always tend to go for either the fire or water types and Oshawott is definately one of my favourites.

I remember when I wanted Snivy as a my Starter, but after I got Black, I started having second thoughts about it. In the end, I went with My Oshawott, Teira. It came to show...my love for otters was stronger then my love for snakes.

Yes! Oshawott. :3 I knew from the moment I saw it that I'd pick this one.

Had Tobias from the beginning and he's never left my party. He is very much my buddy. I'm glad I'm not the only one who actually felt really sorry for him even though really Oshawott (and PokΓ©mon in general) are just a bunch of numbers and stuff.

This is so... adorable! And kind of how I imagine my Trainer picking him out for the first time. Just so... fitting. And then when he evolves he becomes awesome and no-nonsense and that just makes it even better.

Yeah, I have a lot of sympathy for pokemon that aren't liked, even if they have no idea that they are unloved pokemon. ;A; That's what fanart does to you, man. <333 Tobias, by the way, is the most adorable name for an Oshawott ever. And I named mine Freckles. So that's a big statement.

I can really imagine Freckles being accidentally let out of his pokeball and being frightened off at the word "trainer", because of being mistreated by kids coming to pick out their starters in the past. Poor baby :'C

I picked oshawott and named it typhoon, it's my strongest team member in my pokemon white game, oshawott looks underrated because of its appearance. nice art by the way really well done

I laughed at my friends who were getting tepigs and snivys; when they saw its final evolutions, I simply yelled "HIPOCRITES!" cuz they all got oshawotts instead

Aww, thank you~ I'm so glad to hear you like this. I've always been partial to water starters myself, for some odd reason, even though I usually prefer the designs of the fire starters. (Almost never prefer the grass ones, though. Only gen so far where my favorite starter line was the grass type is probably gen three. I agree on mudkip, though; Mudkip itself I find adorable, but it's eventual evolutions don't do it for me.)

I've decided not to evolve Freckles, even though I do love Samurott's design. It's just that with Freckles' personality, Samurott just stops fitting to him. I have a feeling if pokemon were IRL, he wouldn't want to evolve, even if he would be stronger that way.

I know what you mean! Mine waa named Osha. Not too creative but it goes with my trainer's personality at the time too, hehe. Mine evolved all the way but wanted to stay a Dewott cuz of his musical career. He won't admit it but he loved doing musicals!

Thanks, but I can never get ROMs to work on my computer. (Macs are, for some reason, harder to get ROMs to work on.) I'm just fine with my legal version. xDD;;

Ok. I'm planning on getting Pokemon white. I already have the other version working fine. Lol. Oh, FYI if you want the white legendary then get the black version. Same goes for the other legendary. Its like the old gold and silver games. The main legendaries are switched in the games.

Personally I still say Tepig got some of the best evos P= Oshawatt almost looked good to me in his second form, then I saw his third and boy did that go out the window XD strange how tastes vary from person to person though =3

Oshawott's second form is definitely the favorite among fans, (With good reason, it's pretty damn adorable,) but I agree the huge difference between Dewott and Samurott is a little jarring. I hear they're pretty darn strong, though. But I'm going to miss drawing pictures of Freckles cuddling with my trainer. You cannot cuddle a Samurott.

In the beginning it went Snivy > Tepig > Oshawott, popularity-wise, then the full evos were revealed and most people who were on Team Tepig shifted to one of the other two. Personally I've always been on Team Oshawott, I think he's adorable and I love drawing him and Dewott. I almost don't want to evolve my Dewott. Sure, he'll be a lot stronger, but he's so cute as an Dewott. ;3;

Same Oshawott has always been my fav, which is weird as i always go for fire starters ALWAYS, the only other one that almost tempted me was totadile, but even then i still took the fire starter, this time Oshawott has done it all the way, i love otter-y things anyways, maybe i have a soft spot teehee~

The way you drew this is Amazing!!!! The little guy looks SOOOOOOO SAD... He looks like he is longing for a friend to care for him. This is a VERY touching Piece, and despite the fact that i don't like Pokemon much anymore, THIS IS AMAZING!!! You could start a series of pics off this idea. Something that makes you feel good about him finding a friend. my mental idea generator is going crazy right now. there are sooooo many ways you could go with something like that. a short comic would be something A LOT of people would enjoy. Something like 10-20 graphic novel pages would be about right..... GAH Gotta stop thinking out loud... Oh my gosh thank you so much this comment just made me afternoon~ I love that, even though you no longer really are into/pay attention to pokemon, you were so moved by this piece, because that's just the sort of thing an artist loves to hear; that your art made an impression on someone even when they don't really understand/care about the context.

All of those ideas are great, and I think just because of this comment I will AT LEAST do a series of Tegaki E pieces related to little Freckles and his journey to friendship. Again, thank you so much for this~
