Name: Kit Setsuna Fukumen

Nickname/s: Setsu, Kitsune, Fuku(he hates this)

Gender: Male

Age: 4(human years), 22(fox years)

Sexuality: Asexual Biromantic

Species: Werebeast - Fox/Kitsune breed

Abilities/Powers: Being a werebeast, specifically of the fox breed, Kit has heightened senses—primarily smell and hearing—and increased agility, allowing him to jump higher and farther, able to reach places others generally aren't capable of reaching. He also has increased reflexes and the average stamina of a fox, allowing him to avoid danger and run for a minimum of two hours before needing rest. He also has the power to switch between "human" form and fox form at will, but for unknown reasons, he can't be in his fox form for more than 4 hours, and needs at least 1 hour before he can switch again. If he concentrates hard enough, he can create small blue flames around him, and he can use these to locate people or to somewhat connect with the spirit world. Through meditation, he is able to properly connect with the spirit world, and is currently training to develop a connection with Izanagi, the god of life.

Occupation: Shrine Keeper/Monk

Personality: Being a typical fox, Kit is sly and cunning, and is not one to be easily tricked by those around him. He is clever and calm, and is able to use his wit to get his way, whether it be to stop a fellow villager from scheming something against someone else, or give him the upper hand against hunters, yokai and other potential threats. However, due to rarely ever leaving his village or going past the surrounding forest, he has very little experience of the outside world and thus has trouble telling danger and safety apart if he encounters something he hasn't experienced in his village before. Due to his naivety towards the world outside of his village, he's quite closed off to new people and possesses an air of aggression if he feels threatened. When he's at the shrine, he takes on a more peaceful and forgiving demeanour, rarely allowing himself to get angry as "it will disrupt the spirits that rest here".

Likes: Peace and quiet, gentle breezes, gardens, keeping the shrine clean, masks(he hardly ever take his off), solitary

Dislikes: Tight spaces, heavy rain, festivals, dirt and grime, most yokai(some he can tolerate), fire(to an extent)

Appearance: Kit has warm tan skin and long white hair tied into a low braid with crimson ties. His ice blue eyes are often always closed due to the burn scar covering the top half of his face, thus restricting his vision greatly. Underneath his eyes are dark red cut-like markings, one on each side. His face is often covered by a white mask with ruby red markings and black "eyes" decorating it. He has large white fox ears on top of his head that are peach coloured on the inside, and a long bushy white tail with crimson on the tip. His legs are also covered in white fur, and his feet take the shape of fox paws. He wears a black sleeveless turtleneck top and dark crimson pants underneath a white and red kimono. The kimono's sleeves are almost long enough to completely cover his hands and there is a cut in the back for his tail. He always has a long rope tied around his waist, usually using it as a belt. He wears black boots with dark grey cuffs, the toe area cut off to allow room for his paws.

Relationships:

Mother - Kit has a close relationship with his mother, and is in charge of taking care of her as she grows weaker every day. His mother is constantly telling him how proud of him she is, and it almost always brings him to tears.

Father - Kit wasn't as close with his father as he was with his mother, but he respects him for his ability to connect with Izanagi flawlessly. He is currently being trained by him in order to connect with the god as well.

Backstory: Kit was born to a powerful family in his village, who were known for their connection to the spirit world and the god of creation and life, Izanagi. From a young age, around 1 year old, Kit was trained by his parents to ward off the yokai and to develop that same connection. Though the training was constant and often without rest, he didn't mind. As long as he could help his village to prosper, he would endure the training, whether harsh or tame. Upon hitting 3 years old, while wandering the forest Kit encountered a creature he didn't recognise, a being of fire, and he could only assume it to be a rare type of yokai. However, since yokai rarely, if ever at all, travelled outside of the village, he didn't have his mask on hand, and was attacked by the unknown creature, the flames burning his face and rendering him (luckily temporarily) blind. Unfortunately, due to the severity of the wound, he found himself unable to open his eyes, as it hurt him too much. Thankfully, his lack of sight didn't hinder his training regimen, and he continued on with his life, though he became extra careful around fire as to not have a repeat scenario.
