Hehe, I actually made a tiny SpongeBob cake years earlier - a SpongeBob SpongeCake! I wish I still had photos of it.

Hmm, I'm pretty bad with tips and instructions... basically I just printed out a picture of the SpongeBob face that was the same size as the cake, cut out the eyes and mouth, placed the rest on the cake and frosted through the openings to get the right size and placement, then figured out the rest freehand. It wasn't too bad, but I'd been making lots of cakes at that point!

Thank ya! This one was a last minute switch from a Beatles cake to a SpongeBob cake after I had the cake already made! Hence why he's round, hehehe. I was digging through stuff for inspiration and found a little round SpongeBob change purse. Inspiration comes from the weirdest places!

I just loooove making them! I made one fancy one years ago and realized how much fun they are to decorate. It's definitely an art form that I didn't really consider art until I tried my hand at it!

Hehe, it was originally going to be a Yellow Submarine cake, so I made it round- then plans changed and I modelled it after a SpongeBob change purse I got last year, hehe. It was even yellow and blue checkered inside! Yummy....
