Description
This is the final version of my latest hyperrealist painting. I have chosen the subject matter for the following reasons:

Frogs are some of my favorite animals because of their beautiful and fake-looking colors and intricate patterns. This blue poison dart frog is probably my favorite of them all.

Many of the 6,000 different species of frogs, including the one depicted in this painting, are endangered because of pollution, the cutting down of forrests, and a fungus called chytrid, which could be responsible for the extinction of up to one third of the different species

2008 has been named the year of the frog in order to raise awareness of these issues and to push for the construction of frog protection centers, especially in central and south america. [link] . Through this painting, I aim to raise awareness about these issues as well.
