Tokenotsu? I've never heard of that... the closest I've heard to that is tokoroten...

Yeah considering I usually have extra pork meat in mine so the flavor might get a bit too strong.... though for some reason whenever I get pork in a broth it looses it's texture and flavor??

Well that's because pork meat in highly soluble. Did you know that a pig can get bit by a venomous snake and not die...? This is because the fat and tissues of swine (mostly fat, though) tend to absorb toxins and such to keep it out of the blood stream. In ways, pigs have a cleaner blood stream than we do (and we have the lymph system AND the urinary system cleaning it 24/7).
I'm not 100% sure if this is true or not... my sister researched it and that's what she found out... and I trust that she wasn't stretching the truth. To a degree... that's why I don't eat pork much. ^___^ if you think about it... that's pretty handy...

Although the pork that we eat is farmed and kept away from snakes and other venomous creatures.. and during cooking most of the toxins and bacteria will die due to extreme heat It's also pretty easy for pork fat to be removed before or after the cooking process. humm I might try marinading pork in an oil based broth in order to prevent the texture it obtains while in a broth...

ahh well I usually don't believe the fact that toxins are cooked out. I've gotten sick WAY too many times from pork (as in vomiting in the bathroom... sick)... I only eat pork in things like ribs.
Whatever, each to their own. ^___^
