Alright lets get into this wacky ride! Luster dawn is the child of Twilight and Sunset, and Eclipse is the Child of Sunset and Moondancer.

Sunset shimmer eventually decides to return to Equestria permanently, partly so she can reconnect with her brother Sunburst but mostly because Sunset had a Huge Fat Crush on Twilight.

Sunset got turned down pretty fast but sucked it up and decided being friends was better than nothing at all.... or at least that had been the plan. Twilight had a spat with Tempest and they decided to take a break from each other. Twilight took it hard and got drunk off her ass, and as a self proclaimed friend sunset was there to cheer her up... It led to a one night stand that twilight was too drunk to even remember, and sunset feeling ashamed about the whole thing left before twilight woke up.

Sunset realized she was pregnant pretty fast and not wanting to ruin her relationship with twilight further, hid it and disappeared. She eventually gave birth to Luster Dawn. Sunset spent a few years moving around, before she met Moondancer and they hit it off. Sunset is VERY aware that she's pretty much using Moondancer as a replacement for twilight but she genuinely cares for her which is why she has stayed.

Sunset and Moondancer Eventually have Eclipse chaser and the four spend their time happily with each other. Until Luster dawn started showing a great aptitude and interest in magic. Sunset at first was happy to indulge in luster's magic interests, and when Luster begged to go to Canterlots school for gifted unicorns sunset let her do as she wished. Everything was fine until Twilight came to to talk to about luster becoming her personal student. Sunset immeditly said no, but after realizing that twilight really didn't remember their one night stand and had no clue that luster was hers sunset reluctantly agreed to it.

Luster dawn is pretty childish in the way that she thinks she's smarter than most ponies and doesn't listen if someone tries to correct her. The only thing Luster wants to do is study magic, she doesn't really care about anything else. Luster is aware that Moondancer isn't her mom, but she really truely doesn't care about that fact. Moondancer has treated her like her own, and Luster loves her to bits for it. Her relationship with sunset is a little, distant. Luster knows that sunset loves her but there always seems like a wall between them. Luster used to resent Chaser, because sunset didn't seem to have that same wall with chaser. After getting older and living on her own, that resentment has lessened and now she just gets annoyed when chaser tries to embarrass her.

Eclipse chaser is a little gremlin. They have one goal in life and that's to document every eclipse at its totality. They map the lunar and solar cycles, pinpointing when an eclipse will happen and then they figure out where in equestria will they be able to see it best. If there's no impending eclipse happening, Chaser will help Moondancer by helping out in the library. But once the date of an eclipse becomes closer Chaser will stop everything, even forgoing batheing and eating until they're done. Other than chasing eclipses, Chasers second favorite activity is annoying his sister luster. His greatest wish is to embarrass her in front of princess twilight, but he hasn't had the chance yet.
