A brand new Lightning Returns artwork surface at the Final Fantasy 25th Anniversary Event in London. Could this be a hint to what Lightning’s costume might look like?——
The technology being used to develop the game, it shares a few things in common with Final Fantasy Versus XIII, although the game itself is meant to be rather different, although it will use certain elements of Final Fantasy XIII’s design and gameplay. Merceron adds that development on Lightning Returns is at a rather advanced stage, and that Square Enix are using focus tests to identify the direction of the project, as it will be a unique episode in the Final Fantasy XIII world.

Nomura is not the creator of lightning. He is the in charge of her character design. Her actual creator was Toriyama

Yes, I suppose she looks like Cloud because of the front hair and she has a very manly chin. It doesn't look like her..xD But Nomura has many fans here on dA who (at least try to) copy and worship his style. Dunno why. For me I don't like his style. It's all a question of taste...XD

The last two games try to have Lightning as a superhero so I hope Lightning Returns will lampshade this.

ya i doubt it, because she was crystallize meaning her body kept its physical form when she was crystallized, and there is no time in valhalla so time cant pass
