Bel was born in dead of Winter, leaving him with a shaggy coat all year long. While this makes summers a bit of a difficult time for him, he deals with it all by shutting it out. Generally keeping to himself, Bel can come off as stand-offish and rude to those who don't know him. It doesn't help that he carries a rather tough branch around with him at all times. This branch is usually used for him to lean against for reasons known only to him, or used to playfully smack foals about if they're getting too rowdy (or too close to him).

Somewhat nervous around foals as he thinks his larger size will break them easy if he tries to play. Which is why the branch is used to keep them away.

Looks older than he actually is due to his shaggy, unkempt fur. Also refuses to speak of why the right side of his face is hidden by his mane.
