Description Inspired by:

"The Lotus Eater"

"The liquid is in your throat
For hopeless delight

After all you fell in love with death,
Life has aborted.
All you've had and all you became,
The night is calling, you pray forth.

The barren waste is your land
Your crops, they were sown to die

The skin is a mirror
The eyes hollow with ignorance
Health runs from your lips
Tucked in and safe in a world of sleep

All those years caring for a liar
A benefit road that is winding higher
You're a moth too close to the fire

You are stuck in a route of confusion
Changing and waiting and seeking the truth of it all

Fleeing your sorrows
Pushing your spirit away

Sick of the weakness of the psyche
A whisper from the heart of evil luring them all into despair
Resenting the goods of a savior

And cries out
For the restless will also die

A selection culled from the damned, drawing a lifeline of one
A friend died in your room and sought the birth of a follower

O brother, you are a killer and you target yourself
I wish you'd never come back for us to see the beckoning end

And the pride of a mother brought flaws in a mother's son
And the love from a father was used by a father's son

Overheard us talking in a smoke of lost hope
The language of a parting so clear and so true
Overheard us talking"

Nothing much done lately, spent some time trying to learn digital painting, not sure if its something I like or not yet.
I had some thoughts about buying a Wacom but Im not sure if its worth the money, at the same time its hard to know if digital is something Id like to work with when I dont have the proper tools. Using the mouse for painting is hell.

So for now I guess Im back to what I do best. Inking.

Wow I am amazed by your work and even more amazed that you don't have more attention on your gallery. This is simply gorgeous. The flow is perfect and the attention to detail is inspiring. I especially love the touch of red and the dangling jewels along the pointed ear.

Of course I'm a sucker for elvish looking women.<_<

Wonderful stuff. I shall have to give a proper dig through the rest of your gallery!

Wow this is unfinished? (though I guess that's why it says 'review in the title, douh XD). Honestly, I think you could leave it as is and call it done. If it's the snake scales that are the unfinished part, I rather like how the details fades out from the center. Keeps it from being too busy.

And as for your concern in the description about whether a wacom is worth it or not, I've used the old model graphire and the newer intuos2 and I can attest that it is a whole new world of awesomeness and makes natural painting strokes so much easier.

I started out with this model, which is rather inexpensive: [link]

It seems like a small format, but you get used to it over time. The best thing about them is that the line thickness is more natural so you can get more precise with your drawing and coloring strokes.

And yay go elves

Haha, thats weird, a friend of mine said the exact same thing when she saw it a few weeks ago. About it being done and she liked how the scales faded out.
In my mind, I have just been shading some random scales but intended to do all of them. ^^
Im not sure about it. I dont see it as done, probably since I know what I had planned to add to it. Well see tho, Ill have to consider it.

Thanks for the tip on the wacom Ill definitely check up on it. Is seems fun and I would love to learn it.
Ive borrowed one from school now, smaller model, to try it out a bit (again - as soon as I have time) ^^

that's amazing! I absolutely love it! Everything about her is so intense. The black and red coloring really adds to it too.
