Ugh...i JUST finished colouring and finishing this off on photoshop, just in time for the deadline, which is today sometime in the afternoon...hopefully this will look great when its in print form.

now im officially done my comic for A.N, oh yeah!!! XD
This was one of the first things i drew as i was conceptualizing the stuff for this comic, but it remained half-drawn untill just a few hours ago. I'm getting tired of always doing circle-brush clouds...its so effortless, i should learn how to render "real"looking clouds...although i havent the slightest idea how...

The perspective is awesome, the city seems like such a wild place in a dark and sorta (word here) way. Oh yeah total brain fart. The character look great, wonderfully innocent and her design is awesome. :3 The colors all blend to gether wonderfully as well, yayness there. And the clouds arn't too bad a simplicity against the rest in a manner. Though I know a really disappointingly easy way to make really shibby looking clouds.

Yeah, clouds are tough, but I figured them out. Cool perspective...I love her eyes! But one thing - while the wind is blowing her scarf and skirt one way, her hair is going another.

i found you! or rather you found me i guess, yes it must kinda suck not going to AN this year, but im sure it's nothing much your missing other than the artists alley i guess.
hmmm, i didnt really have a basis for the buildings i just drew random cubes which i added stuff onto, but i guess living in an area for along time has an influence of how you perceive buildings.

Its a great pic! Usually, for clouds, you wanna add some shading in the outline and around the poofy parts.

Oh yeah as for the drawing itself, it looks pretty snazzy. I don't know if you thought of this and decided against it, but a gradient in the sky might help it look more real (since real skies tend to go from light blue on the horizon to a rich blue higher up in the sky)

and yeah, i decided against the gradient cause i thought the clouds looked cheesy enough and i didnt want people to think i had no photoshop knoweldge by doing a simple gradient, although a flat-wash isnt very effective either... *ugh....

I had no idea how to render clouds either, so I looked up tutorials in google, and I found a semi-ok one after a while...though I haven't a clue what the link is.
I remember it said to start with the underside of the cloud, using a darker colour (The most typical colour would be grey, but clouds come in many colours so you can use whatever you want, just have it match the sky), using one of those fuzzy-edged brushes. Make sure the opacity is set to something like...20-30% and just build up some cloud forms, using a reference picture for guidance. I'm no expert though, so my advice shouldn't be taken too seriously. (I've only drawn clouds twice)
