heh heh
the idea came for this came to me in tuesday lecture, and it was pretty spontaneous how i just started to work on this since tues till now. And for ONCE i actually like this one, and i cant spot too many problems with it EXCEPT maybe: the sky and clouds, the farmers in the background, parts of the grass, the kids foot, the shadow on the ground etc...
overall this was a pretty fun thing to work on and is a refreshing break from the usual gloomy cloudy city scapes i always do.
I drew the kid seperatly on a sketchbook sheet of paper but the book wasnt big enough for me to draw in his left arm so i had to cut him out like a paper doll and tape a left arm on him. After i overlayed him ontop of a peice of paper and drew the background perspective according to his angle. also i had to cut off and re-position his foot cause in the origonal, it looked like he was running with a broken ankle or something.
Why is he running away? i dunno....although if you can come up with a cool explaination i'd love to hear it!
the reason i came up with today is that he's dating the farmers daughter or something like that.

My guess is that the kid is actually an alien, who used the farmer's warehouse as his home base and then got caught. I mean, the kid's not wearing country clothes!!
Of course, those thoughts only came right after I watched MIB on tv today...

As soon as I saw the title, i thought of a series called "clone high", and of a tiny bit in particular which involved a skunk and the school principal...but anyway...I started pissing myself laughing as soon as I read it...

yeah the clone high refrence that is.. ohh i'd give anything to see that episode again! i only wish i recorded the series when it was on! and that show had the most tragic ending in the world cause it never got picked up for a second season! (frikkin mtv) so we are to assume that everyone is just stuck in the meat cellar forever?? what a way to end the story!
and yeah the skunk WAS the best, well next to JFK and ghandi!

BRILLIANT! I knew I recognised it ^_^ Clone High was possibly the funniest cartoon I have ever seen, and I was outraged, upset, and heartbroken when I found out that there was never to be a second season - it more than deserved it....bloody meat cellar!!!!!

I jsut hope that the thousands upon thousands of people who are crying out for a second season will be heard out at some point in the near future, otherwise I may be forced to make up my own scripts and get my mate who is a master of flash and soundforge to create bootleg episodes for me to watch....I will seriously go to that length to get some sort of closure to the series....it was such a good series 
and yeah - the skunk was pretty pisser ^_^, but what it did to skudworth was pretty harsh, escpecially with the pieces of bacon and that massive boulder....jesus that looked painful...o.O
but yeah - classy reference ^_^

think ive said enough about this drawing.. how hes so stitched-up n everything
i love ur attempts at different angles n how theres always a story behind a picture.
if i were to associate each character from TRIO with a word.. u will be possibility.
there are always refreshing ideas coming from u, and they never let the expectations down.

anyways, like i said fitting a watermelon into a bag like that would make it really hard to run!
emm....! i dunno i need to learn how to just DRAW normally like before and not rely too much on photoshop to stich everything up cause i think sometimes (if not all the time) it kinda looks way too artificial. ah whatever!
and maybe someday ill learn to colour like you, with just KNOWING when to leave the parts white....hmm or maybe ill just stick with the white pencil crayon!

What you said is true, you DO usally draw stuff with a darker atmosphere, so thats y I find this one funnier than the others, not becuase this kid is running away from those crazy farmers, but because..... well he is running away from an angry farmer, so I'll name this kid Steeve, donno y, lol Steeve.

those areas are great, i mean in the summer, you just see the sky and everything, not like in the city, really choked and disgusting. well we USED to have feilds like that but they're starting to pave over then to build houses....what a waste.

yeah i live in a suburb out of chicago, we have some fields.. and then we have some horse farms.. and then even my ex boyfriend owned cows XD;
but its not so empty as you might picture, we do have malls and towns all over.. and i only live like an hour out of chicago XD so i am not far from civilization.. it just so happens that down the road there is farm land.. and then 3 horse farms by my house o_o;;

i was performing my dance with my group that we had to do in dance class..and my friend was like "roflmao. awesome band aid XD so sexy."
i get to take it off now though, i think its alright.. but the blueness was awesome XD

ahhh...so envyous...still even though you live pretty close to the city i mean just to have that kinda clear space nearby, i mean the city makes you feel so choked! can you see any stars at night or are they blocked out by the nearby city lights?
and farms are kinda quaint i feel sometimes and then theres the issue of cow tipping which im sure your ex had to deal with. it sucks but its kinda funny in a sadistic kinda way!
ohhh....bandaids can be sexy! well depending on where they are....mostly around the knees maybe and nothing more than 1!

yeah i am able to see the stars quite nice because i am not too close to the city but i am not too far, i like it. it is rather nice
and he just got cows like a year ago so they are still kind of young and i dont know if he had problems with it yet XD
for teh band aid, all my friends were sad because i took it off in dance yesterday and everyone was like "noooo i likeded the band aid!"

This looks really nice, but the colour scheme of the background looks a craplot like kaizoku-fansubs' main page. Maybe it's the white circle clouds.

cause well my skill with doing organic stuff is pretty bad so i had to resort to doing circle brush clouds and a blue sky gradient....oh well, as long as it kinda works im not gonna go back anytime soon to fix it!

Haha, I tought the same thing when I first saw this pick. He's running for his life after being caught with the farmers daughter. Though it would have been fiiting more ot that if her were trying to get dressed as he ran and all that. Buit seeing as you don't have any particular idea in mind it's good anyway. The only thing that catches me off guard is how the foot in the front looks attached to his leg. they both seem to be going differnt ways. His leg looks like it's going straight down but his shoe looks like it's coming toward you. I don't know though, I always seem to over analyze your work cause is't so damn good.

the foot is totally off, now that you mention it, but i still like to think of it as the sock connecting and elading your eyes to his leg...ehh...or think of it as when hes gonna land on the ground he'll twist his ankle!
i dunno the thing with weird angles is you dont have to follow any rules or perspective or proportions or anything but sometimes that can be a really bad thing.
