EDIT: I don't know if you can tell, the colors are so pale, but I was using these images as practice shading with reflected light.

I'm not sure what it is but coloring Kieran relaxes me so much. It must be the light colors. I can just unwind and not worry about anything when I color him..

Just practice drawing Kieran. In the lower image, his hair is shorter. It's not that he likes or dislikes his hair: it's that he's never been allowed to cut it. It's a status symbol. And when his dad cut it, it was a symbol that Kieran was being disowned. To put it simply.

He's been through a lot for an 18 year old. After his best friend killed the girl he loved, he ended up in jail where he was tortured and raped and used as bait before being released under close watch. He hates himself more than anyone else because he knows he almost betrayed Cress. And despite everything, he still loves Cress. It's a really tragic story, actually.

The two pictures in real life are only a little bigger than quarters. Just a random thing. I like small drawings.
