Description God, love, there’s so much to tell,
and so little time.
I know you think me a fool,
I know you think me blind.
But me, I’m still your friend,
And I’ll love you rain or shine.

I know you think I’ve given up,
I know you think I’m a fool.
But I also know that I felt the same,
Felt that everyone older had just given up,
Felt that everyone else was a fool.

I’m not sure you know that whenever you cry
Another piece of me dies.
And I’m sure you don’t know that whenever you’re gone,
I, too, sit alone, and I cry.
But me, I go on, this poor empty shell,
Enduring and reading your words.
Words you and I can’t bear to tell
Each other when we’re finally alone.

There are so many things that you and I know,
That we’re certain the other one doesn’t.
And there’s so many tales that need to be told
To the other, but yet we fall silent.
So since silence stills our tongues in our mouths
And holds captive our words in our minds --
My thoughts and my dreams,
My hopes and my fears,
My joys and my loves,
Hide openly here,
For you love,
My dear love,
To find.

Sorry it took so long to get back to you, I've been on a hiatus of sorts. Thanks for the comments

This poem is absolutely amazing. You captured the way people need something more, but are trapped by their silence...
