Meet Karish.I intended him to be a fire demon but Bría thinks that the paint job makes him look more like a nature spirit.
Whether I've captured the essence of flame I don't know but frankly I quite like the effects that have come up on the leather.
So whether he's a fire demon, or a nature spirit (you choose) here he is in all his glory. Hope you like.

I can see Bría's point. The paint job reminds me of an old branch or root, where the bark has been rubbed away over years and the lighter wood underneath is smoothed and worn.
I like it very much though, whatever race it may be.

The more I look at him, the more I think she's right.
I'd aimed for the colours of a smokey fire, but without actually drawing in the flames.... but still... He took on a life of his own and decided what he wanted to be... can't really object to that now can I

Art tends to do that. Much like characters. Best thing to do is to let them be what they want and go along for the ride

It's very good, whether its fire or nature. I expect the rest of the costume will greatly affect how it looks overall anyway.

Thanks hon. 'tis a fair point though I don't imagine this will get worn with a costume. You never know however. I never thought I'd be any good at any form of artistic medium so I may have a secret flair for costumery. (don't imagine so but hey
