Description
Another image for a bit worldbuilding task for the ships with the name Euderion. The USS Euderion NCC-126, converted into a training ship, leaves Jupiter Station.
In mid-2181 the USS Euderion growing old and obsolet after 16 years of service. Taken by past events and the ongoing refit work to keep it up to date, Starfleet thought to mothball her so that the resources could flow into more modern ships.
However, due to her past achievements and the influence of her first Captain Natasha Euderion (now Admiral), the granddaughter of the original namesake of the USS Euderion, the decision was made to transfer the ship to the Starfleet Academy as a training ship.
The Euderion was slightly demilitarized. The four phaser cannons were retained, but the entire nuclear missile arsenal was removed. The photonic torpedoes were also replaced by research and training probes. As a final step, she was painted gold and yellow on large parts of the hull to identify it as a training ship.
On September 15, 2181, the Euderion set out under the command of Captain Telar on its first training mission with a crew of cadets. In the following years, she completed exercises and training operations in relative proximity to the core worlds of the Federation, until she was decommissioned in 2186 and transferred to the Starfleet Museum.
