Description
Galor class warships.Commonly referred to as "warships" or "war vessels", this class was also designated by the Cardassians and the Maquis as "cruisers". The Federation Alliance was also known to classify them as "destroyers."
Two of them are strong enough to outmatch a klingon Vor'cha cruiser, three can bring a federation Galaxy class in big trouble.
The Galor classβnamed for a hooded warrior from Cardassian mythologyβmade up the bulk of the Cardassian Union fleet for at least three decades and despite their relatively small size compared to other races' capital ships have always been able to hold their own in battle.
The class served widely in the Federation-Cardassian War and the later Dominion War. However by the early 2370s their top status in the Cardassian Fleet was being usurped by the newer, larger Keldon class.

Yeah good old spoonheads.
I wonder why Cardassians never actually tried to ram smaller enemies. Ship layout looks like a giant hammer to beat dissidents into submission.Β Β

Nice scene. Cardassian ships have very nice designs. They are not pretty, but they are the most functional, in terms of combat, than other ships. (Federation ships for example, have a very silly design. Nacelles propped on the ends of long, thin pylons? I would not want to take such a ship into combat.)

I think Keldon is too strong. Three of them would kill an Galaxy very quick. Even the Defiant has big problem against the Keldons. And she is a pure warship.

I think it was stated that a Kvort Bird of Prey can destroy a Galor, and it takes four of the heavier versions to take down a Galaxy. Though that maybe because a K'vort is more maneuverable then a Galaxy and isn't as maneuverable. A Soverign probably could take on three Galors and win.
