A overview of some progress pictures i have made during production of the Star Trek The Next Generation Medi-Kit Prop from the later TNG seasons.

Wanted this thing for a while but needed a bit to figure out how to do the hollow things and to get the right sizes. I finally found the dimensions on a site where they auctioned the original screen used Medi-Kit. If someone need them:

The overall dimensions for the Medi-Kit are 34 cm tall x 24,3 cm wide x 8 cm deep (thick).

Its mostly made from wood and plastic. The base were four plates of simple wood, glued together and bringed in form with file and grater and sealed with filling compound. Top structures are cut out from thin plastic sheets and later glued together with Lcars Buttons and medical insignias.

The whole thing was a week build and cost me around 5 Euro for filler, glue and paints. The wood plate was an old desk table i had in my basement.
