Description
A little commission of "the best pony" forI might have gotten a bit carried away with it, but what can I say I really enjoy comics!

My first real critique here on dA, but not first in general.
So to start of, the VESION:
This part will be a bit hard, since this was a commission/request, mainly because I provided the idea and you did an awesome job of bringing it to life. Of course, it is to be expected with these cases, since it is very hard for the artist to decided what to do. Should he listen to his own experience and instincts or should he try to follow the commissioner word to word. I think you were able to find a good middle line.
Also, considering the limited amount of info, regarding the actual look of the piece, I provided, I think you did an "marevelus" job. The only thing that can be improved, and this is me not know nearly enough about human anatomy so I may be totally wrong, is that her wrists seem a bit too skinny especially the one further away. Also her arms could have been a bit more muscular, since that would fit Ms Marvel comic look and my head canon look of humanized AJ (then again there was no way for you to have known that). Finally her lower ends of the boots could have had a more interesting looks to them. They seem a bit too simple.
But those are extreme details which do not distract or pull you away from the piece.
Next, the OREGINALETE:
First off, awesome title. "Ms Marevel". That alone earns you high marks. I love the small redesign of her costume. The sort of gold-metallic look to the ends of her long sleeved gloves and to her boots are great and help them stand out. You also did a similar thing with he torso symbol, but still keep it logical with the shapes and curves, showing that it is not a metal but has a metallic look. You added a small zip to the neck area of the costume and some sort of hand/fist protection, which also look nice. I also looked at the step by step and I love the fact that you changed the position of her scarf and you actually made to made kind of weave around her tail.

The style looks like a hybrid between your power ponies style and your humanized power ponies style. I obviously do not have too tell you about you big knowledge of color and shading, as well as the making things pop out and create depth in a piece. Though your line work is a bit wobbly in some certain areas. But I am sure that if you had more time to work with it, something that is very hard to come by for a person in you position, you would have fixed it.
The IMPUCT:
I will only say this. Ms Marvel at her core, when it comes to her looks anyway, is sexy, strong and bad ass hero. And you pulled it off.
Yes, I saw someone say in the comments that RD would have been a better fit, but the only similarity, personality wise, would be her love of fighting. But AJ connects with her in bigger range of behavior and personalities, like being down to earth, hardworking, sometimes very stubborn and well..... they are both blond? xP
All in all you did an awesome job and hell I did not even know that you would actually do it. There are some small things to touch up here and there, but considering this costed me almost nothing, and you to take your already limited amount of time working on this, I think it is GLORIOUS!

Alright, I've got some free time, time to argue
Vision: I'll admit the wrists are a bit too skinny, that's mainly due to me trying to branch out from the traditional manga-esq style and not properly succeeding, as for the boots, well the reference pics I used didn't really have anything on them either.
Originality: Nothing bad here.
Technique: Could you perhaps point out where the line work is lacking. Other thanks.
Impact: Now you've got me blushing XD

Ms. Marvel, to my knowledge, is kind of a fighter type. But yeah, I think Dashie would be better matched up with Thor. I would pay all my bits to read "The mighty Thrash and the Wonderbolts Three"
