I know this is an old project, but I was wondering if the size of the sword was scaled down or fit to a ratio? Or is the Artorias model you have up there actually the player character in his armor, because Artorias is much taller than 6 ft in the game it seems. Just so you don't think I'm complaining, I'm actually trying to figure out Artorias' in-game height.

I'd like to know, yes! I'd even tip you for it if I can.

LORDY, he's big. Eyeballin' it I thought he was only like 9 ft tall. I guess 11 ft is only 2 ft taller than that, but oof. That's still big!
Thank you so much for doing this, though!! This is super interesting. Is there a way I can slide you a few dollars to thank you for your work?

Yeah!! It's hard estimating someone's height through sight when they're hunched and bent at the knees, and I still seemed really off. So I do still appreciate all of this.
I'm a writer and roleplayer, and I'm a big fan of Artorias. I've seen his height questioned a lot, and I've had a few theories about him. Particularly one of them being how he held his shield, because his shield has straps on the inside that goes unused by our player character in Dark Souls and Dark Souls 3 (the straps were most prominent in DS3). I theorized that his shield could be strapped to his arm and used like how Silver Knights use their shields. If the scale on his greatshield isn't changed much in-between us wielding it and Artorias wielding it (because weapons for larger characters/bosses get scaled down when we use them but it's hard to tell with Artorias' greatshield because we never actually see him use it), it'd be very plausible that what was a giant greatshield to us was more viable to someone who's 11 ft tall!
Above all, it was just personal interest but I might put it to use someday, or maybe someone who's more crafty than me can put it to use!! Sorry I don't have some amazing cool project to unveil, which is also why I want to pay you for your time.
Also I will definitely be visiting your BuyMeACoffee. I've seen several people use it and it seems like a nice way for people to make some extra money.

Can't wait to try to build the darn thing, (might need more paper) I have been looking for a long time for a good build to actually make the great sword. Thank you for your hard work.

With all my hallow heart I will gladly accept just the ancient greatsword and make it true, I am actually currently replaying the first Dark Souls on my XB1, I however will be excited to also make the restored version whenever you get to it (no rush). Again thank you for your hard work and I hope to finish it sometime and send you a picture of the finish product.
P.S. I am sadly not left handed....

Well thank you for the motivation to see the work(Though in my PDF I acquired I think I will do the cursed variation that you provided, being nearly identical to the original sword). , and I am impressed with your ability for being ambidextrous.
On the note of Artorias, The box cover gives the impression of him being left handed (the original box art being black and blue ect., showing a figure similar to Artorias's build. Another note is the Majestic Greatsword in DS2, description being "An ancient greatsword of unknown origin.
This sword was passed down through generations, until it reached Gordin, wandering knight of Forossa, and was lost upon his death.
Uncannily, every last one of the prominent swordsmen who inherited this weapon was left-handed.".
However I agree with you on the fact that his arm is fractured from using his shield makes plenty of sense, though in game the true situation is unknown, perhaps he was ambidextrous such as you?
Here is a tid bid: Artorias was meant to have dialog in Dark Souls, though it was scrapped to retain the fact that he has been consumed by the Abyss.

Thanks.
Actually, no..... The timing just works out....
At first, way back in October, I started ripping these models just because I was halfway through my first playthrough of Dark Souls 1 and needed a last-minute Halloween costume. At that time, someone showed me TheProud's "We Are The Souls" video, which gave me the idea to papercraft and wear the Sunlight Maggot with a flashlight embedded in it. Unfortunately, that 3D model turned out to be too problematic to build in the time I had left, but ripping it got the ball rolling on all these others.
Now, however, as a connoisseur of Victorian sci-fi/gothic novels since 2004 who doesn't own a PS4, I'm making these papercrafts to distract myself from lamenting a copy of "Bloodborne" idly burning a hole in my brother's game shelf.
