As someone who regularly raids video games for 3D models and then builds them in real life as full scale papercrafts, whenever I sit down to PLAY a video game PROPERLY----you know, with a controller, as opposed to Blender----deep down I go more than a little klepto as I explore the scenery.... I literally just saw this painting on a wall in "The Evil Within" and thought, "Hay, that's nice. I bet it would go great hanging next to my portrait of Captain Daniel Gregg."
So, I took a screencap on my bro's fancy 4K-TV with his PS4-Pro, and virtually pulled it off the wall.

In this case, I figured a high-res screen-cap with some GIMPwork, applied to a simplistic 3D-model I'll create later in kHED (just like I did for the portrait of Captain Gregg, which HAD TO BE screen-captured from a live-action 1940s film) would be a lot easier and quicker than hacking the whole game just to get at this painting model (and maybe a small handful of other models) directly.

Haven't actually beaten "Evil Within" yet. Shooter games aren't my forte, and presently I'm stuck on the "Alpha Boss" fight with transmorgified 'Poindexter Joey'.

I'm the sort of gamer who talks smack at the screen (for my own amusement, of course ) and I'm going to tell Ruvik when I finally face him that I LITERALLY WENT SHOPPING IN HIS NIGHTMARES!

UPDATE: My bro is really egging-me-on to just hack the darn game and NEVER try'n take any shortcuts, i.e. re-modelling 3D from screen-captures (unless there's no other way). Well, he doesn't know how long that takes because he himself has never even tried to do it, but I have a rreeeeaaalllyy hard time turning down a challenge.....
