I STARTED THIS LIKE 3 WEEKS AGO UGH
FINALLY
yes so the basic concept of this drawing was to kindof mimic what it looks like when one of the characters in Fire Emblem Awakening gets a critical hit, so i just chose a character, a weapon, and an enemy... which in this case happened to be Ricken, Rexcalibur, and some random brigand... wind magic is fun to draw but i'm pretty sure i failed at it, hehe... yeah, so, Ricken is my powerhouse in my current playthrough, he's so small but he's so powerful, not to mention he's ADORABLE (but don't tell him I said that). I paired him with Lissa, I'll probably do a picture with them together, but for right now here's Ricken killing a random brigand.
This might become a thing. I might do more of these. I'll definitely do one with Gaius because i love him, and maybe I'll do Henry and Tharja as well... oh, and Lon'qu.
well, back to playing Fire Emblem Awakening... i love that game more than life itself i swear

It's strange how the first time I actually got a chance to use Ricken was during my Lunatic runthrough. He's actually a very capable physical unit

Yeah, and his defense is way better than it is as a sage, which makes it easier for him to be on the front lines without getting hurt as much.

In my first playthrough, Ricken was a Dark Knight, and he was absolutely fantastic! I'm happy to see that someone else realizes how cool he is.

Cool! He's a dark knight in my game too, because I rely on him too much to have him have suckish sage defense, and he is absolutely epic. Also he's married to Lissa, so he gets good stat boosts in magic from her.
Yeah, no one realizes his powerhouse potential! It's sad.

I loved Ricken's supports with Lissa, but he married Miriel in my first playthrough and Maribelle in my second and third.

I don't have any other playthroughs, but my friend and her boyfriend both paired him with Nowi. I can see why you paired him with Miriel though, Laurent's magic stat must be pretty epic...

Laurent was fantastic! In my primary playthrough, Miriel married Henry, so Laurent's magic stat isn't QUITE as high. On the other hand, he gets high Skill and Lethality. My Tactician married Laurent, so that's three generations of guys with white hair and the ability to cause giant blood splatters on the screen.

Cool. Miriel married Lon'qu in my game, but Laurent still has a really good magic stat, plus he gets all the cool swordmaster skills, and Lethality, plus he has an epic skill stat

I considered Miriel x Lon'qu but I didn't like their supports. I did Lon'qu x Lissa in my primary playthrough, and Owain is incredibly powerful. My Owain is an Assassin (he's my ONLY strong bow user, and Lon'qu is a Swordmaster). He is King of the Highly Visible Ninjas!

My Owain is a swordmaster, he primarily uses killing edges and Levin swords though, since Ricken didn't really help his strength much

I thought Lon'qu's supports with Miriel were absolutely hilarious! I just couldn't see a romantic relationship forming out of it.
Even though I currently don't have access to the Dread Fighter class, I have a lot of characters with good Resistance. I think it'sΒ because I use a lot of spellcasters. I have used up to SIX casters (Dark Knight Miriel, Sorcerer Henry, Sage Laurent, Dark Flier Fem!Robin, Grandmaster Morgan, and Valkyrie Lissa) in one battle in my primary playthrough.
And if you're wondering, my Miriel is a Dark Knight because I have a rule about not using more than one of each class in a particularΒ battle unless I'm training someone. It also gives Miriel some much-needed defense, and access to Levin Swords.

Ah, I see. I did see a romantic relationship, though, especially when she considered proximity to Lon'qu as a reason for her increase in heart rate when he saved her.

Hmm... I haven't counted how many I actually have. Let's see: sage Miriel, dark knight Ricken, valkyrie Maribelle, dark flier Cordelia, sorcerer Tharja, sorcerer Henry, grandmaster Morgan (although he mainly uses swords), sorcerer Noire (Henry is her father, her magic stat is epic), sage Laurent, and grandmaster Atani (my avatar).

I guess I could potentially bring them all to a battle...
The defense thing I understand, that was my exact reasoning for leaving Ricken as a dark knight. And his strength stat isn't half bad, either.

I had Sage Miriel in my first and third playthroughs. I love her outfit.
And, wow. 10 casters! I've never seen a StreetPass team with more than two, ever.
Miriel's access to Levin Swords also really helps against powerful axe users who get too close. Especially if Henry is out with Laurent or someone else.

Hehehe, I should probably put them all on my streetpass team... Most of them have capped their stats, too. Although I've pretty much given up on Maribelle's defense.

Lissa was a War Cleric in my first playthrough just because it made her look awesome. In my second (primary) playthrough, she's a Valkyrie for the additional mobility (in sand, I have Sage Laurent and Falcon Knight Cynthia for healing emergencies), and in my third playthrough she's a Sage because she looks like a mini-Emmeryn.

It doesn't really matter for me what class Lissa is in, Ricken does all the work anyways... Although if he dies in any of the harder DLCs it'll be nice for her to have decent defense like she does as a war cleric, and her strength is pretty decent, too.
(I don't actually have any of the DLC maps but I'm hoping my dad will get me some for Christmas)

My primary Tactician HAD to become a sage at some point, as she's exclusively a caster.
