Description Taken at Crystal Cascades at Pinkham Notch, at the base of Mt. Washington, New Hampshire. A stroll down memory lane for me today. Last time I was here was in the mid '70's. I was about the same age as my son who was taking a mountaineering course today in this area. So I thought I would visit a favorite place I have not been to in quiet a while. I summited Mt Washington twice back then. Once in hideous weather with danger of hypothermia and once in beautiful weather when we could see forever to the Atlantic Ocean.

While not as impressive as the Rockies or Cascades, it can boast as having the highest recored winds on the planet. It is a trecherous place because of its weather with a tree line that vanishes at 4400ft. Mt. Washington is know for being the "Home of the World's Worst Weather".

Thanks for looking. C&C welcome and appreciated.
