Hehe, I've been there!

I just love the colour of glaciers, and glacial water, and can't help noticing here that the shape of the ice along the front looks a bit like rhinoceros horns.

Thanks Sue! I wanna go back! Rhino horns? Could be now that you mention it.

lol......I always want to return to places I have been. You do too, don't you?
Still....the first time is often the best!

EvaMcDermott In reply to Anthera [2007-03-27 22:26:43 +0000 UTC]

Yes I do Ra! The 1st trip is always a big adventure. The return trip is a catch up trip to get to the things you missed the 1st time or re-shoot a subject in a different light. All my trips center around my photography. Drives my family crazy sometimes, but they still put up with me.

Anthera In reply to EvaMcDermott [2007-03-28 19:04:11 +0000 UTC]

haha....same here. My husband stays rather at home when we're going on a hike and I take my camerabag........I tell my dog: It's just gonna be you and me again Mo!

EvaMcDermott In reply to Anthera [2007-04-01 01:05:43 +0000 UTC]

So true. If he or my sons come the complain for my stopping. So.... I go alone. We all need some time to ourselves. My photo time is my time. BTW - my chocolate Lab Misty comes with me sometimes too.

Anthera In reply to EvaMcDermott [2007-04-02 18:41:22 +0000 UTC]

......Yes ....I love being alone in nature.
Good for you! Taking your own time to have your own fun. It does good to our relationships.
I'm sure Misty has a great time hiking with you!

Thanks Will!

Did you know the deeper the blue of the ice, the newer the break off. I have a few pics of really deep blue glacier face. Need to catch up with messages and then maybe I'll post a few more.

Eva milady, you're welcome

A mate of mine, Dougie Allen, a wee Scotsman, is a wildlife filmmaker who specialises in arctic/antarctic work. He used to work for the British Antarctic Survey, & used to send me shots & info. He was the main cameraman on "Life in the Freezer" series. I'll see if he would allow me to put some of his work up.
