Thank you! I'm trying to get an example sketchbook ready for my students to see when the new school year starts. I did altered books with them last year, and they turned out great, but the over-use of acrylics depleted a lot of what I had. So I'm trying to show them the possibilities of doing a fun sketchbook using pretty much everything BUT acrylic!!!

Excellent! I'm sure that after they see yours, they'll get on board. It's all about using what you have, in my opinion, and if it's a cheap brush and whatever else you can find, or some colored pencils... Heh, it's super fun. Do you keep an altered journal still?

That's the hope, for sure! I haven't kept up with my altered book nearly as well as I should. I have a page for the Warriors movie, where you open the page and it plays music from the movie (I hid a musical greeting card under the pages)!
