On the afternoon of June 28, 2008, we're on Indiana Rail Road's Indianapolis Subdivision at Lake Placid IN, to chase trains. Soon, we catch a Peabody Coal Mine to Ameren Power Plant Coal Train powered by 3 SD9043MAC's leading the way. These locomotives were originally built between 1999-2005 for use on the Indiana Rail Road for both Manifest & Coal Trains on both the Indianapolis & Chicago Subdivisions. The Locomotives are on a long term lease from CEFX & will remain so for years to come until the lease expires. The Coal Hoppers these units are hauling are OMAX Autoflood III Coal Hoppers built by Freightcar America. At Newton IL, INRD Tracks end & CN Trackage begins.evangaines 2023
