Description
On the rainy morning of February 10, 2002, we're on the former Cotton Belt outside of East St. Louis IL to catch UP Challenger #3985 on it's 2002 tour across the UP System. Soon, we catch the Challenger racing pass a St. Louis Bound Manifest Freight as it's heads for it's next stop in Gorham IL. The locomotive has done this trip the previous year of the NRHS Convention held in St. Louis & is performing very well even in the heavy downpour. The train consisted of UP's finest restored passenger coaches that they always use on their excursions & executive specials.
