Description
On the afternoon of June 28, 1994, we're on UP's former OSL Line from Boise ID to Portland OR at Cascade Creek Trestle to chase UP Challenger #3985 on the 1994 Oregon Trail Special from Portland back to Boise. Soon, we catch the 3985 & her train racing across Cascade Creek as it heads for Boise. Months prior, the 3985 ran the Golden Spike Steam Special from Cheyenne WY to Ogden UT for the Rocky Mountain RR Club & ran it's Southwestern Tour, where it ran over the famous Cajon Pass. This would be the only shot of 3985 on this trip due to us traveling to the East Coast to catch some steam in the east.
