On the morning of June 10, 1972, we're on Lake Erie & Eastern's Mainline in Breakneck Ridge State Park, 75 Miles East of Columbus OH to chase Reading T-1 4-8-4 #2102 on her trips over the LE&E. Soon, we caught the T-Hog & her 18 car train racing along at track speed, heading for Congers NY. The T-Hog has been pulling trips for Ross Rowland's High Iron Company throughout the year, with trips from Harrisburg & Reading PA to recreate the Iron Horse Rambles from the Early 1960's, that 2102 served on. During this time, the Big 4-8-4 was still owned by Steam Tours Inc. of Akron OH. The Trip was sponsored by the Lake Erie Chapter NRHS, which it's own locomotive, I-2-A Mikado #5193 was out of service for repairs. The 2102 would arrive in Congers NY, that afternoon, where the T-1 would turned & serviced.
