On the morning of July 14, 1989, we went train chasing on Conrail's Chicago Line outside of South Bend IN. Our first trains of today is Conrail Trailer-Van Train TV-10 from Englewood yard in Chicago IL to North Bergen NJ & Amtrak Train #29, the Westbound Capitol Limited, from Washington D.C to Chicago IL. The train was running on time & is keeping it up for it's afternoon arrival in the Windy City. The power for the Capitol Limited is 2 F40PH's & the power for the Trailer van Train is 3 GP40-2's. Bringing up the rear of the Capitol Limited is 5 newly restored passenger coaches for the American European Express or AEE, the predecessor of American Orient Express (AOE) which were on their way to Chicago before heading to New York City NY on Train #41, the Eastbound Broadway Limited.evangaines 2023
