On the same day at the Big S Curve outside of Leyden CO, we catch the Grandluxe Express on it's trip through the Rockies to Salt Lake City. The train is following far behind the Zephyr & will follow the path of the CZ (California Zephyr) until Salt Lake City. The power on this train is 3 P42DC's leading the way. In Utah's Capitol City, the Train would divert away from the Route of the Zephyr to travel to the entrance of both Yellowstone & Grand Teton National Parks, Jackson WY. Once again, we had great fun catch this train & we enjoyed very bit of it. Sadly, this train wouldn't be long from this world, due the Great Recession of 2008, but it was still one of our favorite trains.
