Huh, I just noticed I haven't posted anything about this on DA before, coulda sworn I had... Also I haven't posted any proper drawings of humans in like two years, LET'S FIX THAT.Anyway, these are for an original story I'm currently developing, Ensouled. It's very early days. I'll be sure to show it off more properly when it's ready.
These are all from my sketchbook. I’m still workin’ on the cast’s designs; these are the four main “good guys”. Charley and Sequoia (the blonde and the brunette) are the farthest along, Monty and Zinnia need a lot more attention.
My character design process is pretty much just “draw them ten thousand times, then some more”… as it’s for comics, I have to be very comfortable with every aspect of the design. I’m definitely not there yet; this is just scratchin’ the surface of the drawings I’ve been stacking up. As the story planning gets more solid, it informs and shifts the designs, too. I’m happy with the progress, but I’m sure they’ll end up very different from this!

It's an original story I'm planning... an urban fantasy about a ghost having an after-life crisis and a girl who accidentally gets turned into a magic car, fighting to save a town marked for death by a faerie mobster. Also, surfer wizards.
It takes a lot of the less-explored story ideas and character archetypes from Ghosts of the Future, and gives them a setting where they can take center stage.

I guess I'm still getting used to myself right now. I just kinda got pushed to a new level with new theories to apply to my art and i am NOT used to it. I also need to learn to draw faster now that i have it so i can apply it practically. I'm such a slomo.
