Well.... I doubt Robotnik is all that surprised by the sight of GotF Sonic since Zachary was showing him a holographic projection of them in Okida's comic. That implies he's got an ace of some kind up his sleeve when it comes to ghosts. Tikal may not be a fighter, but I'm sure she could wreak havoc with machinery if she phased through it, so as long as she stays invisible, she just might be able to help when things turn unexpectedly nasty. Or she could just run off looking for help like a wimp, only to find Silver and Blaze getting pulverized.
Also, Dr. Zachary seems to be stroking that caterkiller like an evil mastermind and his equally-evil cat.

And is that ZACHERY?! Oh boy... this is the true Sonic the Comic. And Robotnik looks like he took a bit of the Sonic Cartoon vibe to him (SatAm), I could just sense it in the picture. Let's see how twisted this rabbit hole goes shall we?
