I did not make up the title myself, this is the title of the original photo from [link]Finally finished the drawing.
I hate the background, it just totally didn't work out well.
The idea was to let it fade away, but that failed, as you can see...
Made it in about 15 hours, with graphite(3B, 7B, 9B).

Beautiful work! i love the pose and longing gaze,,and i like the background as it is,it adds to the main focus the eye's in my opinion and it has an rustic care free style that really contributes to the whole piece.Great job!.

I actually like the background, it makes it look like his body is just a shadow and unimportant compared to his face and his eyes.

Wow you really captured the essence of the person! I think if you made the background darker, it really would stand out more. (I always use a tissue to smudge. It saves time and it can bring you that fade in/fade out effect)
