I've read the book and i totally understood it all. I even saw the movie with robert duvall as boo radley he was amazing!
You know he had to go on a hunger strike to get into character, becasue boo radley had to stay in the basement all week, and boo is a hero! He saved jim and scouts life! Now we know why he stays in the basement, he doesn't want to face the world of what it was in those days.
