Description Light beams look great, and don't actually take that long to render, but by GOD are they a pain to get right!!! Full-size original render was 1600x1200.

Hell yes! Rendering them took long enough, but getting the lights positioned and at the right strength so that just the right of light came through was a nightmare. I ended up using a spotlight with volumetric lighting and a light gel applied, with the 'show dust in light' box checked. I couldn't get it to work any other way.
