Description
Keith glared at the young black stallion. Exorcist glared back. He bobbed his head and pulled back to the lead's end. Keith braced himself, ready for the stallion to thrash, but it didn't happen. This time. Yet.

Exorcist took a step forward and began itching his knee, his eye still on Keith, watching him. He flipped his tail over his back and let it lay. Of course. Keith wiped sweat from his forehead and coaxed the stallion's head up again. He'd lost all track of the judge and really didn't care. The long-legged colt was proving himself a horrid show horse. He'd become board early on and now amused himself by making Keith mad, and Keith knew it.

When running, Exorcist was a racer's dream, all heart and fire and fight. But the arena and skimpy wire halter and primped show colts were wearing his patience thiner by the moment. Keith just hoped he'd be able to leave the arena in one piece- if the stallion lost it, he was target number one.
