Why Hannibal. Β Is that a kind of brek-thru? A kind of gate?

The concept changed back and forth, at first the smaller ship was Hannibal and the larger was the gate, then I decided that it would be more interesting if the larger ship was Hannibal, and the smaller ship was defending an unseen gate. Thanks
