Description "The Sacrifice" is a card owned by my client.

There are many stories about the Sacrifice, and probably all true in some regard, though all fail to grasp the esoteric nature of the Sacrifice. The Sacrifice is somewhat unique among other Luminaries in that he chooses to appear human to supplicants. When he chooses to, the Sacrifice appears as a young man with broken chains about his wrists and ankles, glasses on his nose, dressed in peasant garb, blood and gore from a knife wound to the heart - though it seems to not have stopped him. The Sacrifice is not an up-jumped mortal, but more of a collection of everything given in the name of magic and power - a collection of every sacrifice offered to fuel rituals, climb political ladders, and gain power. Some legends speak of the boy, the one that the Sacrifice appears as, a Theogriff - a name forgotten by all but the most diligent of lore masters. This Theogriff was said to be the first human sacrifice in a bygone time long ago - and the Luminaries felt such sorrow for him that they sought to preserve him in some way. Even they could not have foreseen the change the Sacrifice would take, that it would absorb so much throughout the age and turn into a thing that almost hungers. The Sacrifice is a thing that is so easily called upon, but so quickly cast aside - and not a thing that is taught or spoken of openly. Things are given to the Sacrifice range from a memory of the first kiss to lives and souls. The Sacrifice has been known to tempt mages with rituals and magic beyond their skill, lurking in the closed pages of ancient books, whispering to passersby in order to tempt them - offering them power, but requiring them to sacrifice something in order to attain it.
