The final of four Ravenloft characters I was commissioned to draw at GenCon 2014, this one is a half-vistani (gypsy) bard with a hedgehog and a goat. Β Scary!

I love how elaborate her clothing is, did you have to do research just made it as you saw fit?

I did a Google image search for traditional Romani/gypsy clothing and worked from the results, but that just got me the general look, especially regarding the scarf, jacket, and bandana.The rest I made up myself, based on what I saw online. Β I also had to find references for the violin, the hand holding it, and the animals. Β We illustrators rely a lot on reference material since it's impossible to make stuff up and be at all accurate with it. Β I can't draw goats and hedgehogs from memory.
