Hello, everyone! I'm back on track once again, and ready to continue with the story! Those last few weeks got kind of wierd, what with the contests and holidays and all, so hopefully things will be more spaced out in the future!
Now, this comic introduces a character that both Loren and I are VERY excited to see finally enter the comic, everyone's favorite wizard, Beauregard "Jack" Fargas!
Jack is one of the first created characters, and has been a real challenge to introduce. When I first started making this comic, version 1.0, he was introduced, and then the entire run was cancelled due to many reasons. Then I rebuilt everything from the ground up, (which is the comic series you see today) and now, nearly 2 years after he first hit the idea board, he is finally reborn!
Jack is a fun character, and this comic is a HUGE milestone. I know that Orlov is also very popular, so I hope you enjoy seeing the two together! Be sure to let me know what you think!

When Jack said "Darkness beyond! This glass is half a millimeter below full!" made me laugh my ass off, and I love Orlov's expression in the second to last panel... XD

I do too. I just don't think he'd be the same damn character with different eyes. They kind of define him on different levels.

I agree! Initially he had pupils, but he didn't look...magic enough. Then his eyes had a glow, but that looked wierd because I changed the style to cell shading and his old look didn't carry over well (he is the newest to be introduced, but one of the first created) so this works great, IMO. She just thinks he is scary, she doesn't like scary

Why thank you! Initially he was just an evil wizard, but I like the idea of an over the top buisnessman better. I would compare him to Mr. Krabs from Spongebob if anything, he pretends to like everyone, but really only loves the money, lol. Orlov is the perfect servant, totally loyal and unquestioning.
We've got a lot of fun things to do with them both, but we can only squeeze them into so many comics! I'm glad you like him though!

Lol, I love his big old tear eyes in the second to last frame. I love how he talks too! My editor reads back his dialogue in a thick russian accent, so it is very difficult to get through a script because we are laughing too much!
