This is it, I would have to say my favorite piece. Those of you who know me/read my endless dialogue know that Norman and Jamie are, for all intents and purposes, cartoon versions of my wife and I. While Norman is loosley based on me, Jamie is heavilly based on her, in looks and personality. This image represents a lot of what we like to do together, which is just be happy, and content being together. some consider it boring, I consider it love

And no, this image is not canon to the story, jamie and Norman are not a couple...yet. Worlds worst kept secret, they will be eventually, so images like this don't lie too much

aaaaaanyways, this was made for contest, summer fun. On the dificulty level, this ranks at "fukken hard!!!!!" because I not only tried new grass painting, but also highlights and 2 tone shadows. This takes a fiendishly long time to do, so only expect to see this occasionally

I was working on it and 2 other pieces at once, but decided to finish this first because the time felt right for the message that it holds.

Lately, I have seen a lot of hate, concern, and sadness here. It really is enough to get you really down, and lose sight of a lot of the good in the world. I hope this image serves as a gentle reminder to you (as it did to me) that sometimes, love speaks louder than hate. Sometimes it is better to forget the world, forget your problems, and simply watch the clouds go gently by.

The title even speaks to the message, in that life is only what you make of it. Nobody can tell you what that cloud looks like to you, until you yourself can see it. Such is life. Do you choose to fill it with happiness and love? Or do you choose to focus on the bad, and all that is wrong with the world?

Either way, it is my hope that everyone can find their own rays of happiness. Everyday Grind is a story of friendship and love, two things I am big on. When not cavorting with demons, crazed wizards and talking yetis, it is nice to kick back with a loved one, and see the world for what it is; a place of beauty, peace, and serenity.

Never lose sight of those you care about, or those who care about you. Keep your eyes open to the beauty of the world, and you will find that maybe those clouds aren't so dark after all
