I've been wanting to make one of these guys forever!
Such a wonderful mixture of different artistic skills are needed to make one, I really enjoyed the challenge of it!This is my little snow leopard cub, she is semi posable, I say semi because she really doesn't have long enough legs to move in significant poses, although all four legs move independantly as well as head and tail. 12 inches long nose to tail tip. She's so cute I just want to kiss her little furry feets! ^_^;
Super sculpy, wire armature,tin foil, fauz fur, fabric paint, swarovski crystals, marbles (eyes), acrylic paint, feather ruff.

well i only have one bedroom and my bfs which is blue

I left a large section of my bedroom by the ceiling white with the intention of finding a fun border but I never did so I actually used a big sponge and dabbed white paint to meld the blue and white together, it looks like clouds! ^_^ The other bedroom is actually my son's now, he's only 7 months old though so for now at least i have control over the wall paint lol

You would not believe how much faux fur sheds when cut too lol omg there was white hair EVERYWHERE

A friend told me a trick: turn it face down and slowly cut it through with a fabric knife (I'll be trying it with an exacto) Hopefully that goes much better!

i have a tip for cutting faux fur
turn it on so the fur is facing down on the floor/table/etc and instead of using scissors, use a craft knife just to cut the underside part. its takes a little more time, and it does still shed a little, but so much less than cutting it like normal fabric.

There are a couple of really well loved artists on the site who do them, they are pretty few and far between. ^_^ It's an old idea though, I had a 70's monkey who held a banana who was like this (only plastic not clay) growing up! I'm very glad you like it though, I hope to do more it was a really fun trial and error challenge!

Hmm I'm not sure, I thought about it all night, the thing is I "might" already have a buyer. I would however be willing to do one for a trade of whatever critter you'd like, I am not planning to openly offer these for art trades, so much time goes into them but you made me such a lovely birthday gift and I love your beadwork so I'd be willing to make you a small one!

I'm sure I could do a book mark. If you saw my dragon wristband (which is now a bookmark because of damage. x.x) that's about the size and detail I could do. Just normal markings is fine. My only pet peeve when people portray maned wolves is the tail - how they just tip the white like a fox when more often than not, 1/2 - 3/4 of the tail is white. Example: [link]
