I can finally post him now that he arrived safe and sound! This wintery fellow is a fox/owl hybrid I made for the amazing . The bird feet has cast resin toes and fully posing fingers for lots of gripping fun! The wings are goose feathers. I made the best glowing eyes I have ever accomplished with this doll, I used a junk brush to mix clear nail polish with teal glow powder and brushed it on before painting the blue eyes behind it (except pupils which I laid down first, very important) I love the results!
The nose was a bit of an artistic risk for me, I didn't want to just make a flat owl face like so many artists have before, plus I love the long snout of the fox so I made the snout with a hooked beak like nose with a normal fox mouth below it and flocked the fur very carefully in a direction that would mimic the face of a barn owl. Sorry I'm so late to comment! You already know how I feel, but I still can't tell you how awesome he is
in person. His large size makes him feel even more like a real animal than most dolls. He has a way about
him that just makes me so happy. Not to mention, he's so frickin durable! My cat knocked him off a shelf
and he was completely fine. All I know is that you put so much work and time into your dolls, it really pays
off and shows. I will be posting a journal about him once you receive your room guardian (which is finished
by the way)
together. Though my guardian looks like an ant next to him!

Yeah it HAS to be better than packing and reflooring and painting walls like I have been doing lol. I guess the amount of boxes will be a little overwhelming but the worst will be over.

Eh I wear croc slip on sandals all the time anyway, it's still Florida so it doesn't really freeze here, though we're farther North now so 40's in the mornigs won't be unusual.
