I believe I was a victim of the slenderman in a past existance.... Fact: NOTHING in horror movies of ANY kind freak me out. Actually, my dad and I make sport out of betting on who dies in what order and how, and spend most of the time laughing our asses off. None of those normal things bother me...not snakes, or creepy things with fangs, or cannibal zombies... The only things i've found that bother me are the pale, faceless, burrowing child from that one Fringe episode and that angel-demon thing with REALLY long limbs from Legion. The walkers from War of the Worlds frightened me as a child. I'm fine with spiders, I'll hold them and whatnot, but the extra legs are slightly disturbing. These traits combined: exceedingly long/ tentacle-like limbs, facelessness, and multiple limbs are all characteristics of the Slenderman. I recently viewed a documantary about him and wasn't bothered until they started showing pictures. The pictures terrified me for no apparent reason. I'm actually getting really freaked out just sitting here writing about it.

Slenderman is a beast. He was spawned from the internet, but there's evidence that shows something like him was reported in the black forests of Germany. This creature that we call Slenderman may very well be a revival of a terror meant to keep children in line that got way out of hand. We may very well be dealing with the Tulpa theory. Tulpa is the concept of a being or object which is created through sheer willpower alone. We are indeed fucked if this is the case. I was terrified of that creature too when I first learned of him. No face, long limbs, an attempt to blend in with humans, like an fish does with the coral to attract prey, so much -wrong- about him, but the human desire to know more is overwhelming. My best advice, sweetheart, is to stay out of the woods if you can, and if you see something odd, just keep going. He's not going to get you if I can help it.
